RUTH'S ROOM

The roomhas two beds so a helper can stay, too (paying just room and board). I stayed for a couple of days, before returning to France and then home.

.

The windows look out toward the park. The sills are great for holding books, tapes, and a bowl of fruit.

Ruth at her table, writing postcards to friends back home and appreciating the welcome bouquetofred tulips. Everything is spotlessly clean.

.

.Poetry on the bulletin board, a thermos with hot tea, a labyrinth propped up in the corner, and a drawing by Lea Goode. The hall to the left (beyond curtain) leads to the closet and the private bathroom (which has a clever space-saving folding shower door).
